ISO 9001 certification succesfully renewed

Following a comprehensive audit conducted by DEKRA, Akerboom continues to meet the internationally recognized standard for quality management systems. The certification covers the company’s full scope, from engineering and construction to the installation and service of yacht equipment, highlighting the strength and consistency of its integrated approach.

This achievement reflects the daily dedication of the entire organization. Across all departments, teams work closely together to ensure that processes are not only followed, but continuously improved to meet the high standards expected in the superyacht industry.

Building on ISO 9001 as a foundation, Akerboom is also certified as a Lloyd’s Register Authorized Service Supplier for crane services. Within this certification, ISO 9001 forms the basis of the quality system and procedures that support service delivery.

An essential requirement within this certification is the qualification and competence of service engineers. Service activities are carried out by Akerboom service engineers who are trained, assessed and registered in a structured competence system, supported by a defined training program and documented procedures.

With a large in-house team of service engineers who follow regular training and maintain their qualifications, Akerboom ensures that this expertise is secured within the organization and continuously developed.
