Back in the days Akerboom was in a partnership with a manufacturer of specific solid lip seals. After the founder passed away, the composition of the rubber and production process passed away with him.

Akerboom could not find any lip seals of that specific quality but knew "we can make this ourselves". And now, three years later, the Akerboom lip seals show outstanding results and help our clients avoid unpleasant surprising haul-outs .
