Working at Akerboom
Akerboom Yacht Equipment (AYE), a subsidiary of the De Vries Group , is a modern project organization that combines traditional craftsmanship with the latest technologies. We build complex yacht equipment for the most beautiful superyachts and provide service to the sailing fleet. Refitting these yachts is also part of our activities. We do this with about 120 employees. Our people work in various disciplines within teams for engineering and production, assembly, and service.
We have office roles as well as craftsmanship roles in the workshops. The workshops are the domain of specialized professionals such as welders and technicians. Experienced staff work together with colleagues in training. Curious which vacancies are currently available?

As many of you know, Akerboom recently reopened the monumental Gemeente School in Leiden. To mark this historic moment, Henk Akerboom and Aad Akerboom spent countless hours exploring the company’s archives, collecting material for a new historical exhibition.
Sam is a vital part of our assembly team, bringing expertise to equipment installations at local shipyards and managing maintenance, repairs, and refits globally.
We are pleased to share the story of one of our recent service projects to a prestigious 1989 Feadship in Barcelona, Spain. This project is a great example to highlight our long term commitment to supporting our existing fleet of clients.
